EU PRIVACY RULES (GDPR)
On May 25, 2018, the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) became fully operational, also known as the EU Privacy Regulation, and in May 2019 checks began on the dedicated teams of the Guardia di Finanza on behalf of the Guarantor.
It is extremely important that both private companies and the public administration identify the ways to adapt to the new legislation and constantly monitor the maintenance of adequacy criteria.
In some cases it is also necessary for companies to review their internal processes by putting Privacy and data security as a primary element to guarantee priority and precedence.
New concepts such as “Privacy by Design” or “Privacy by Default” require careful analysis and in-depth knowledge of company systems and procedures to arrive at the definition of updates and changes that lead to the compliance required by the Regulation.
The training of personnel in the field of security and data protection is also mandatory and the penalties that can be imposed starting from 25 May 2018 are very strict: up to 20 million euros or 4% of worldwide annual turnover in the case of large groups !
Safe Network, backed by its own experience and the specific skills required, acts as a partner for companies and the public administration in order to comply with all these new tasks.
Precisely in relation to the training obligations, an online video course was developed by Safe Network, with the patronage of the important newspaper “Italia Oggi”, to meet this need of Companies and Public Administration with an extremely flexible, convenient and economical tool.
