Distance education is one of the most interesting applications of video communication in the corporate sphere, both public and private. It is a strategic tool to promote and improve performance in the short term and thus progressively reaffirm the company’s role in the market. Furthermore, using the infrastructure created for the distance training of staff, some organizations have also activated real-time assistance and consulting services to customers with an excellent return in terms of image and efficiency. Video communication solutions for distance education are used in many areas. Universities, banks, financial institutions, insurance companies, training schools, multinationals, small and large companies and public bodies, use video communication on a daily basis as a tool for training courses, to update the distribution network or to inform the sales network about the launch of new products and the presentation of new price lists. Thanks to videoconferencing, the training activity has obtained some important benefits: for example, a higher level of concentration was found, an optimization of resource management and new opportunities for cultural growth. Since graduation courses were introduced using video communication technology, many universities have noticed positive effects on the preparation of students: students participate in courses in non-crowded classrooms (as often happens in university environments instead), managing to keep an eye on greater towards the teacher in video. Compared to traditional lessons the students reach a higher level of concentration and are able to better assimilate the concepts illustrated during the lesson.
